Stepping onto American soil, the air was thick with possibility.
Chicago welcomed me with its iconic skyline and bluesy undertones, a city where the spirit of festivity seemed to linger year-round. From the Magnificent Mile to the shores of Lake Michigan, the Windy City was a blend of architectural grandeur and Midwestern warmth. It was here that I first tasted the American experience in 2011, even discussing Taiwan's democracy in a U.S. Senator's office.
Fast forward to the Bay Area in 2023, a hub of innovation and entrepreneurial zeal. San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the tech corridors of San Jose and Mountain View became my new landscape. The whirlwind of American life caught me in its gusts—investor meetings, networking events, and even hosting a BBQ party, all while participating in the Y Combinator Program.
